A stunning late 17th or early 18th Century North Italian ebonised and carved ripple-moulded and giltwood mirror. The wonderfully foxed rectangular mercury plate within a carved giltwood slip surrounded with various carved ripple and wave mouldings, giltwood twisted rope moulding and an outer edge of carved giltwood egg-and-dart. An exceptional and rare early mirror. Various historic and minor losses commensurate with age.
