About the Item
This mid nineteenth century oval Louis XVI style gilt wood mirror is fitted with its original beveled mercury glass and features a crown of flowers and a classic crossed torch and quiver at the top. The frame is detailed with beading and a rais-de-coeur pattern, and finished with scrolling and acanthus leaves at the bottom. A beautiful mirror for a powder bath or above a buffet or chest, circa 1860.
