About the Item
An exceptional Mid 19th Century Giltwood hand carved Rococo mirror with five shelves.
Decorated with carved scroll work ,acanthus leaves,flowers and icicles . The structure of the shelves is in a serpentine form supported by pilasters, with a wonderful original sparkly mirror plate, a very good backdrop for the giltwood decoration and the desirable pieces on display. Icicles decorate the underside of the apron. In its original soft water gilding showing appropriate signs of wear.
