About the Item

Midcentury beautiful oval beveled wall mirror with pink glass frame attributed to Cristal Arte. Made in Italy in the 1960s. The mirror is very well-made, heavy and in good vintage condition. Cristal Arte (established in 1944) was a furniture company founded in Turin, Italy, by Giuseppe and Giovanni Donna. Cristal Arte specialized in the creation and design of plate glass furniture and mirrors, and one of its main characteristics was the frequent use of transparent-to-mirrored glass for its mirrors and furniture. Between the 1950s and 1980s, Cristal Arte competed with Fontana Arte and SantAmbrogio De Berti creating mostly mirrors for Italian clientele.
