About the Item
This elegant mirror dates to the 1880's and features carved wood scrollwork with gessoed plaster details. The central mirror is framed by four smaller mirrors, angled outward, creating a beveled effect. The frame itself is covered in gold paint and gold leaf and has an artistically worn appearance. All mirror glass is in perfect condition, suggesting replacement from the original. The piece is relatively heavy and has been fitted with a wooden hanging cleat for secure attachment.
