About the Item
These Florentine mirrors are well-carved and gilt with scrolling acanthus and foliate motifs which create a lively background for the arched mirror plates. They are substantially, though not entirely, identical. A point of difference is the motifs in the spandrils on either side of the arch. They would make excellent frames for a pair of portraits or as pier mirrors in a dining room.
