About the Item

Cornucopia, carved and gilded wood, 19th century. Rectangular mirror with the frame highlighted by a cupete that extends along the sides. This one has been formed with scrolls and rockets, inspired directly by 18th century examples that follow this style. It is the straight lines inside the mirror that show that, as was usual in the nineteenth century, elements of past styles have been taken to create works more to the taste of the time." Size: 45.5 x 60 cms.
