About the Item
A delightful pair of Louis XIV or Regence French silver gilt mirrors. Unwired candle sconces in their original condition. Highly intricate carvings and style around the mirror point to this period. Mirrors are original and have a reflective mercury coating. The wooden backs of the mirrors illustrate the patina by the years of age. There are hanging wires on the back, ready for installation. Made circa late 17th century France.
No obvious markings present on these mirrors.
In original condition. Some wear consistent with age and use.
