About the Item

Pair of Murano glass mirrors with gold finishes Venice 1900s. This small pair of Murano glass mirrors is a classic piece of furniture entirely handmade in the Venetian island of Murano, Italy, in the 1900s. The mirrors are engraved with a lady and a gentleman, and are surrounded by blue and gold decorations. The floral details that embellish these mirrors are made of blue crystal and gold. The rears are made of wood with transparent varnish color. Since these are antique objects, the mirrors are somewhat opaque. Crafting a mirror requires many different techniques and steps, so when you buy a Murano glass mirror you are buying a piece of Venetian history and tradition. These antique mirrors are in good condition, as documented in the attached photos.
