Pair of neoclassical mirrors. Pair mahogany gilt and painted with mercury glass in the neoclassical Italian Empire style. Soberly framed with gilt insert bordering mirror plate topped by a frieze of 36 gilt flèche arrowheads or feathers against a blue black painted background beneath a mahogany cornice; with a single flèche applied to the returns. Italy, 1820
