A pair of American mirrors with sunburst églomisé center. These vintage mirrors features a light, neutral toned wooden surround, with convex arch top, and aged glass within. The attention is immediately drawn to the verre églomisé star or sunburst at the mirror's center. Verre églomisé, a French term dating back to pre-Roman eras, is the technique by which a design and gilding is applied to the rear side of the glass, with artistic detail being visible from the front. Unpretentious yet elegant, this pair of sunburst center mirrors would make a lovely statement flanking a living-room or bedroom wall.
