About the Item
Rare French Art Deco oval mirror in wood carved in bas-relief, entirely silver-plated with silver leaf. The decoration, adorned with stylized flowers, is in the style of French designer Paul Follot (1877-1942), a worthy representative of the Art Deco movement. The Art Deco style, synonymous with elegance and preciousness, is renowned for the excellence and quality typical of French craftsmanship. The mirror is suspended by a cord and enhanced with silver and antique bronze tassels (bélières) on the sides. Antique oval mirror in bevelled glass, dated 1929 on the back. Frame width: 8.4 cm. Antique wooden back panel.
