Striking butterfly wall mirror, with a beech body and thick beveled glass wings.
If you love butterflies and/or if they are meaningful in your life then this wonderful wall mirror could be flying your way soon (lots of pun intended). Because of their wide variety of colors, shapes and sizes, butterflies are loved throughout the world. However, because of their deeper meaning they for many people also represent things like spiritual rebirth, transformation, change, hope and life. Via one of our foreign contacts we managed to purchase this rare and possibly unique, butterfly wall mirror. The all handcrafted and hand-carved beech wooden body has the perfect design and a wonderful patina. The two beveled mirror wings too are perfect in design and they are kept in place by four screws (2 on each side). We date this quality workmanship wall mirror between the end of the Art Deco and the start of the midcentury era (1930-1950). And both the beveled mirror itself as well as the hand carved body of this wonderful and meaningful butterfly could not be in better condition. Thanks to its timeless design, this mirror could look the part in an Arts and Crafts, in a midcentury, but also in a contemporary interior. If you already have a place and space in mind for this work-of-art mirror then maybe you should be its next custodian. They really don't make 'em like this anymore.
