Rectangular Venetian mirror with delicate decoration, France 1930s
The object is classic in form and design.
The inner mirror has a 2 cm wide facet around the edge. The 9.5 cm wide frame is decorated with a shell frieze around the inner and outer edges.
Small shells on the inner edge, larger shells on the outer edge, the frame itself has an engraving of flowers and vines.
The four corner leaves are beautifully crafted and feature a linear engraving, they taper to a point and are all four intact. The purist appearance of the mirror and the honest signs of ageing make it a versatile object.
There are no chips or damage, missing parts or anything else – this makes the mirror valuable and authentic.
Thanks to its playful and light effect, the mirror fits in well with both modern objects and antique interiors.
The mirror is framed with a blackened wooden frame and the back is additionally covered with hard cardboard.

A French midcentury bronze mirror with naturalistic decoration. A poetic looking mirror with branches and leaves entwining around the frame.
Playful and unevenly distributed bronze elements.
Even the suspension (18 x 5cm) resembles an element from nature, a branch that quite randomly and casually on the upper frame
laid down.
The branches and leaves are engraved and textured the surface is colored from light to dark green with lacquer paint, giving the elements depth and naturalness.
