Scandinavian Modern style wall mirror by Moser. The sleek, modern mirror has elegant touches the elevate it’s minimalist form. Note the subtle cornice and base of the mirror and rounded solid rosewood sides. The mirror can be hung vertically or horizontally. Currently it is setup to hang vertically. There is a French cleat AND picture wire on the back. Use whichever hanging method you’re comfortable with. If you want to hang it horizontally, reposition the cleat or wire on the back. This mirror looks Danish, but it’s actually German! It is quite uncommon to find German furniture here in the states. This piece was likely brought to America by someone in the military. We also have matching nightstands from this collection and a rosewood china cabinet, rosewood desk and a rosewood filing cabinet to complete the office. Inquire if you are interested in any of the matching pieces. This mirror presents a sculptural elegance in rosewood and clean glass, measuring about 34¼ inches wide × 40 inches high × 1 inch deep — proportions that give substantial presence while remaining refined. Crafted by Moser (Germany), its frame encloses the mirror with rounded solid rosewood sides, a subtle cornice at the top, and a base molding beneath — small touches that elevate what might otherwise be a purely minimalist form. Premium wood, figure, and finish are showcased in the rosewood grain: warm cocoa tones, visible figuring, and depth of color where light caresses the curves. The mirror surface is clear and intact. Vintage condition is excellent: the frame has a few minor scuffs around its edges, minute wear visible only with close inspection, affirming age without detracting from visual impact. Versatility is built in: currently hung vertically, but equipped with both a French cleat and picture wire on the back so it can also be reoriented horizontally if desired. Whether above a console, over a dresser, or as part of a mirror wall, it becomes more than reflection — it becomes texture, wood warmth, and mid-century architectural presence. Collectors of German mid-century furniture, rosewood accents, and Scandinavian modern styling will appreciate its rare origin and quality finish.
