This tropical mirror has been thoughtfully reimagined and restored to preserve its exuberant jungle character while reinforcing its longevity and structure.
Originally finished in a fragile mosaic-style surface known to chip over time, the frame has been carefully stabilized using a gloss adhesive sealant, followed by a protective gloss topcoat to lock in the artwork and enhance its rich depth and color. The outer edge has been beautifully finished with vintage rattan trim, salvaged from unused period pieces—adding texture, warmth, and an unmistakable Old Florida soul.
The hand-painted jungle scene features lush foliage, exotic birds, and playful wildlife surrounding a large circular mirror, creating a dramatic focal point that feels equal parts Old Florida, British Colonial, and tropical fantasia.
Minor areas of original wear and small chips remain and have been delicately touched up—honored as part of the piece’s history and character rather than erased. The result is a restored statement mirror that feels collected, layered, and impossible to replicate.
