About the Item
We have been fortunate to get hold of some truly stunning 19th century Italian frames that we have added nice quality mirror plate too. These make incredible features on any wall in a great number of interiors. The design is arguably quite contemporary which is why I love this particular design of frame. The moulding is incredibly fine and when I spoke to my restorer about these he informed me just how hard it is to make this moulding so it really is a testament to the crafts people of the time that created these.
This example is particularly unusual with the extra frame on the corners. Not a design I have seen to often, which makes it incredibly striking. The patina to the original Ebonised finish is very attractive as well.
