About the Item

The city of Venice was a key reference point for its furniture, especially its mirrors. The mirror for sale here is a perfect example of the quality that has always distinguished Venetian manufacture, which saw the collaboration of many professionals: from the cabinetmaker to the carver, from the lacquer and gilding specialist to the mother-of-pearl specialist. Above all, fundamental was the contribution of the glassmaker, who was able to transform glass into mirror through mercury treatment, a technique to this day no longer used.
