About the Item

This is a striking early 19th century Gesso and gilt decorated wall mirror. The frame is totally original faux marble painted decoration in a very subtle grey blue colour with gilt edged detail. The condition is very good overall with minor losses and wear but nothing that takes away from the decorative appeal of the piece. The quality is also very high. The original hanging bracket is set for landscape hanging but it can be hung either portrait or landscape. 156cm by 63cm
