About the Item
A very richly decorated example of the famous tramp art frames of Austria, from the 1890s. A very rare example because it is curved.
The frame of the mirror is crafted in a layered construction, with extra raised shapes on the whole front surface.
This frame is of special richness and of detail, the entire surface of the frame is equipped with interesting ornaments. The surface of basswood ist stained in a warm brown and varnished.
The substructure of spruce is overlapping, so it is an old construction. Exceptionally good condition. The mirror plate is renewed.
Measurements approx.: height 28,54 in - 72,5 cm, width 21,26 in - 54 cm, depth 1,78 in - 4,5 cm
The frame of the mirror has a metal suspension, so an immediate wall installation is possible.
