About the Item
A gilded architectural element , probably an Overdoor ( window) now mounted as a corona or bed canopy . A central floral bouquet against a stepped and moulded cornice , the curved ends secured with an iron flange or brace ( see photo ) . The old gold or gilt appearance enhanced by red bleeding of the Venetian red base coat .

Very sturdy with metal brackets to support drapery weight ( can be removed ) . The shape layout permits alterations or a reduction in length or to remove the curved ends if this warrants flat-against-wall hanging .
The red bleeding subtle but noticeable through out .
This is in generally good condition if distress gilt finish is a positive and fair condition if it is not .
