About the Item
Early 19th century oak blanket or quilt rack from England.
The top of the rack is decorated with hand turned finials, following down to hand turned rails, all with turned collars on both ends of each piece. The rails are joined by cross rails, which are turned in the same manner. The piece is supported on hand shaped trestle type feet, which are raised on small hand turned buns.
This is a gorgeous piece, which is very sturdy and is such quality. The craftsmanship is evident in the construction throughout.
