Outstanding Napoleon style bedroom set featuring a wardrobe, bed, chest of drawers, make-up table with seat and two side chairs.
This high quality complete set is made by the high standards of De Coene Belgium.
The beautiful details in the lion's feet under every storage piece and bed give the bedroom character. The swan heads on the end of the bed are also reflected in the makeup table,
and giving the bedroom its elegance. The red fabric with the gold details complete the set.
De Coene, was a Belgian furniture and woodworking company located in the city of Kortrijk, which existed from 1887 until 1976. Numerous internationally renowned designers, such as Henry van de Velde, Jean-Baptiste Dewin, Jan-Albert De Bondt, Marcel Breuer, Charlotte Perriand, Jean Prouvé, Renaat Braem, Jacques Dupuis, Léon Stynen, and many others, collaborated with De Coene's studios. The Art Deco production of the Kortrijk Kunstwerkstede enjoyed, and continues to enjoy, great renown.

PRESENTING AN ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING 19C French Empire Style Style Complete Bedroom Suite/Set.
HIGHLY, IMPORTANT AND UNIQUE Empire Style Bedroom Suite or Set from circa 1880.
The Suite/Set is almost completely original, save the bed, which was originally twin size, but professionally commissioned to be customized and converted into a Euro King Size for modern practicality. The quality of the conversion matches the quality of the suite/set.
All pieces have gilt bronze mounted fittings; beautiful patina, beautiful parquetry; beautiful carrara marble tops, simply stunning!
About 10 years ago, I saw the ‘identical twin’ of the Commode in an Antique Store on Central Park in New York, however it had a less desirable green marble top (IMHO), and they were looking for 30k USD for the Commode, on its OWN!
This Suite/Set is SO GOOD that it is the main exhibit in our rear Showroom.
Not marked but under the marble top of the commode there are 2 signatures in pencil (1) M. Le Youters (?) and (2) M. Daneels.
You will NOT find another complete suite/set like this ANYWHERE!
