About the Item

Dutch Mid-Century, 1950s Mategot inspired single bed designed by Wim Gilles for Dutch company RAdemakers WInschoten (or RAWI as it was more popularly named). Gorgeously designed with a lovely use of contrasting color and visually delicate, almost open structures, this piece is a wonderful showcase for the somewhat under-appreciated Gilles. In original condition with some age appropriate wear. Two available, one with a paint loss on the headboard, listed here, and one without (LU922441086832). Paint loss shown in photo, exposing the original orange color. Both beds have normal wear such as scratches on the panel and enamel frames. Wear is consistent with their age and use. Comes with newly made black mattress. Sold individually.
