About the Item

This is an impressive King Headboard in Walnut, designed by Helen and Hobey Baker in the 1960's. The husband-and-wife design team were known for their use of solid wood for their pieces, all of which were hand-built in their New York City workshop. The pieces were sold exclusively to the design trade. The body of the headboard is walnut, and the design at the top of the frame features burl wood panel inlays. This headboard measures 2.5 inches deep, 95.75 inches wide, and 38.25 inches high. There is some slight fading to the finish, and there is light water damage at the bottom. There are likely some light scratches here and there. Overall, this headboard is in very good condition. Please see photos.
