Rosewood and walnut bed
bedside tables with cherub carving by Ducrot, 1929, set of 3.
Set bed and bedside tables of the main suite of the liner Giulio Cesare launched in 1920 in Palermo with the first trip from Genoa in 1922. Completely fitted out by the Ducrot firm of Palermo. Excellent cabinetry, the prevailing wood is rosewood, walnut bands, in the headboard and inserted a high relief of generous thickness with a cherub and a cherub finely carved and lacquered ivory.
Bed - H152xL216xP192, height footboard 83, inside 169x200.
Nightstands - H63x58x44.
Piece attributed to the above designer/maker. It has no hallmark or proof of authenticity, but is documented in design history.
Packaging with bubble wrap and cardboard boxes is included. If the wooden packaging is needed (fumigated crates or boxes) for US and International Shipping, it's required a separate cost (will be quoted separately).
