About the Item

Elegant Mission Style Bed, originally designed by Gustav Stickley and Harvey Ellis, circa 1910s, this example is made by Stickley in the 2000s. It is believed to be constructed of cherry wood, but fits in well with Mission oak, as the stain color is Stickley's #011 Madison, which is more of a chocolate brown than red. The mattress opening measures 61.25"W x 83.75"D. The footboard measures 64"W x 40.75"H. The height from the floor to the top of the side rails is 11.75". It comes with the original mattress support frame, as seen in the last photo, which provides a solid support foundation for the mattress.
