Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this very rare, highly collectable, original Circa 1920's Robert Mouseman Thompson bedstead with early Staples super comfortable coil spring mattress Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, if you would like an accurate quote please send me your postcode and I’ll provide you with the exact price I also have a pair of 1950's Mouseman single beds listed under my other items Where to begin, if you are looking at this listing then you will know all about Mouseman, the importance of the older pieces like this and what to look for colour wise and the type of Mouse that represents the earliest carvings, the panels are all adzed so they have that wonderful scalloped finish, the top of the head and footboards have the penny circle carvings, this piece has it all, in addition, it has something I have never seen before, this super rare custom made early Staples Mattress, the full details and history are below, everyone in the warehouse has given this a try and the ruling is unanimous, it is super comfortable Size wise this bed sits above a single and below a small single, the dimensions are below Condition wise, we have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, this is the tightest most clean example of this bed to be found anywhere in the world, it is 100% solid and stable Dimensions Height headboard:- 129.5cm, footboard 84cm Width:- 114cm Length:- 206.5cm Side rail height:- 49cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
