A handsome George III mahogany four-poster bed dating to circa 1790 and attributed to Gillows of Lancaster. It is rare to find beds from this period in this large 5ft width and this was probably a special commission for a wealthy family. It had previously been part of the furnishings of Hull Bank House before it was sold in 1936 and moved to The Old Rectory in Winestead where it was featured in the January 1965 issue of Country Life (photo shown).
