About the Item
19th century French walnut neoclassical file cabinet is truly an unusual find! Appearing to be, at first glance, a large nightstands, features a single exterior drawer above a cabinet that opens to reveal an interior ceramic compartment. The sumptuous French walnut has been crafted with a double pilaster design down the front with pyramidal plinths, tapered and fluted motifs, with louvered carvings above scrollwork just above the lower plinth. The door features a hand painted floral motifs and drawer and doors are accentuated by exquisitely cast bronze pull for the latter. Bun feet provide support.
It has a large crest with shelve that you can removes easily.
