A fine quality antique French Parisian marble-top mahogany bedside cabinet, circa 1890.
Exquisitely hand-crafted in France in the late 19th century, exceptionally executed in refined luxurious Louis XVI taste, having a rouge marble top framed by stepped molded edge, solid mahogany case with elegant quartered diamond parquetry-work and brilliant gilt metal trim, fitted with a dovetailed frieze drawer over single cupboard door, opening to reveal marble-lined interior storage compartment, rising on classical fluted supports joined by lower tier shelf stretcher, rising on toupie feet.
The lockplate is signed/marked: AV (star) Paris

As warm and attractive as it is functional, having the ideal size and proportions for a variety of different uses, including as a bedroom commode - nightstand, tall chair side table or end table, hall or pier console, plant or lamp stand, decorative arts - sculpture pedestal, and more.
Condition:
An outstanding example, in excellent original antique condition. Beautifully aged warm rich patina over the whole. May have minor age appropriate wear, including staining/marks to interior marble cabinet. Overall superb quality and condition.
Delivered cleaned, waxed, with hand rubbed polished French patina finish so to clean it in the future, you'll only need to buff it with a clean soft towel to restore its luster.
