About the Item
Antique Bedside Table in Empire Walnut with an elegantly threaded brass drawer surmounting a door concealing two interior shelves. The cabinet is solid walnut and has been fully lined with paper. The Doric columns have gilt brass capitals and bases decorated with empire motifs, as well as the door knob.
France, first half of the 1800s.
The walnut of this small storage cabinet has a light and warm color. The piece of furniture comes from a private collection and is in good condition, with signs of use consistent with its two hundred years of history.
In order to export any antique Italian object, we must apply for a government export license, known as a Belle Arti, the issuance of which takes 2 to 3 weeks, to be added to the shipping time.
