About the Item
Decorate a bedroom with this elegant pair of antique French nightstands, crafted circa 1870 in the Louis XIII style. Each cabinet features a rectangular rouge marble top with molded edge, set above a single frieze drawer adorned with intricate brass pulls. Below, a paneled door with geometric hand-carved motifs, typical of Louis XIII design, opens to reveal a shelved interior lined with patterned paper, perfect for concealed storage.
Built of solid mahogany, the pair stands on turned bun feet, another hallmark of the Louis XIII style. The warm, rich finish highlights the natural grain of the wood, while the deep geometric carvings lend architectural interest and depth to the façade.
