A pair of oak bedside tables in the style of Finnish designer Olavi Hänninen, mid-20th century. Constructed in solid oak with a rich, dark finish, the tables embody the rustic modernist idiom for which Hänninen is admired: robust proportions, sculptural forms, and a tactile honesty in the treatment of the wood.
Each piece features a single drawer with a simple metal ring pull, set above an open niche, and stands on bold, carved legs whose softened curves lend a primitive yet modern presence.
