Fine pair of modernist nightstands or side tables . Manufactured by the little known Mueller furniture co. about 1958. Simple minimalist construction . Aluminum frame outlines and supports Walnut top and sides . Mueller and Slack a Grand Rapids Mi. co. became Mueller in 1920 . Absorbed by Widdicomb another Grand Rapids furniture giant in 1950 . Became Mueller metal in 1951 as subsidiary of Widdicomb . Separates from Widdicomb in 1960 . Finally purchased by Haworth in 1990 .
