We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning, very fine, and important Maurice Adams art Deco burr walnut side table A very good looking and decorative piece made by the absolute legend and genius that is Maurice Adams Maurice Adams saw himself as the natural successor to the great antique furniture makers of the eighteenth century and had ambitious plans for 20th-century British interior design, including a proposed 'Maurice Adams house', in which the architecture and interior furnishings would be designed entirely by Adams throughout, in a streamlined, Georgian style. All Adams's furniture was made by hand in Gloucester and displayed in Adams's showroom in Portman Square, London. This piece is decorative, substantial, it has a glorious timber patina that looks amazing from any angle, the back is fully stamped and labelled as you would hope to find. This really is a statement piece We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, it will have normal patina marks from genuine age and honest use Dimensions Height:- 69cm Width:- 46.5cm at the feet or 38cm at the top Depth:- 41cm at the feet or 38cm at the top Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
