About the Item

An original item! An antique Chinese baby bathtub dating from the late 19th century. Made of red lacquered elm. This bathtub consists of two compartments: the large reservoir for storing water and the upper part for placing the baby. A lid with a metal handle closes the tub once finished using it. Two handles allow for carrying. This tub is made like a barrel, made of several wooden sections and held together with metal straps. Beautiful quality and in good condition considering the age of this piece.
