About the Item

An original wrought iron children''s bed headboard handmade in Italy in the early 20th century. It comes from a private collection in Milan and is in good condition, with a delicate lacquer finish in excavated green. The headboard's curly decoration is also present on the feet of the supports; it is not a headboard to be hung on the wall, but stands on its own without having to lean against a wall, so it is suitable for a crib or crib to be placed in the center of the room. This wrought iron floor decoration represents a fascinating example of artistic craftsmanship from the past. The two shelf feet provide stability and support for the rectangular frame, made of tubes and rods, which serves as the base for the rich decoration of interwoven scrollwork. These carefully and skillfully crafted ornamental details add a touch of elegance and sophistication to the entire piece. The presence of the embossed iron foil elements on the top, which accentuate its beauty and design, suggests an attention to detail typical of Italian craftsmanship. The hollow green finish not only gives a vintage look, but is in perfect harmony with the decorative trends of the time, making the object especially sought after.
