About the Item
Painted white, this wicker potty seat is all about the early to mid-20th century when wicker was all the rage for nurseries. Although the original pot to catch the child's urine, etc., is missing, a newer larger pot can be easily found. The base of the seat has a tight weave, while the back has a lovely open weave. The seat itself is nicely made of wood. It is sturdy enough for even the most active 21st century learner.

Part of a large collection of ornate Victorian wicker that was collected over the years by a Senator's wife. This rolled woven arm loveseat has wicker curlicues in the open areas under the side arm rests. Across the back are alternating lattice weaving and woven portions. The woven skirt comes from the top of the back leg to a mid-point on the front leg and returns to a shorter curved skirt in the center front. It is a delightful example of a late Victorian love seat.
