About the Item
This object is a wonderful architectural model crowned with a hand-carved eagle, crafted in the Historicist era, around 1880.
In impressive original condition, the base is made of walnut and the eagle is made of stained basswood. The base is masterfully designed from all angles, featuring classical architecture with columns, arches, and moldings. The eagle is masterfully carved, modeled after nature with outstretched wings. The eagle is has stylized feathers, talons and having the head turend right with open beak in a fierce and alert stance.
Measurements approx.: height 22,05 in - 56 cm, width 9,84 in - 25 cm, depth 7,68 in - 19,5 cm.
