"Officer's Sword – France Or Austrian Netherlands – Circa 1770–1790 – Length 99 Cm" An elegant officer's sword, late 18th century (circa 1770–1790), probably French or Austrian Netherlands. Brass mount with finely cast double-shell guard and twisted wire filigree grip. Pommel richly decorated with Rococo helmet and foliage motifs. Light, three-sided blade etched with military trophies, laurel wreaths, and antique helmets. No visible marks, but typical style of continental production (probably Solingen blade for the French or Liège market). Overall length: 99 cm Blade: 82 cm Materials: steel, brass, copper wire Condition: good, with slight signs of age and a beautiful patina; without scabbard.
