Francesco Baracca (Lugo, 9 maggio 1888 – Nervesa, 19 giugno 1918) è stato il principale asso dell'aviazione italiana durante la prima guerra mondiale, nel corso della quale gli vennero attribuiti trentaquattro abbattimenti di aerei nemici, il numero più alto mai raggiunto da un aviatore dell'Aeronautica italiana. Fu insignito della medaglia d'oro al valor militare...
Rappresentato in questo modellino di grandi dimensioni (circa 1/18), realizzato a mano nella prima metà del '900. I legni utilizzati sono masselli di noce e rovere. I particolari metallici, quali elica, raggi, ruote e sospensione alare, sono realizzati in ferro dolce battuto a mano e ottone.
Sia ruote che elica girano regolarmente. Dipinto a mano e stazionabile sia in appoggio che in sospensione mediante appositi cavi in dotazione.
