About the Item
This rare book was privately published in 1961 by the then owner of the property Arturo Lopez-Willshaw, only 300 were published to be given to friends. This copy which is number 36, which was a gift to Salvador Dali and his wife.. The Lopez-Willshaw's were member of the cafe society centred around Paris, they were fabulously wealthy and furnished the house with museum quality pieces of furniture and art. He was a particular friend of one of the other members of the cafe society - Baron Alexis de Rede who lived in the equally splendid Hotel Lambert. All the photographs were taken by Jean Vincent and are tipped in to the book. Text is in French. Still in the original presentation box.
