The impressive and scarce complete ten volume Winchester Edition of the novels of Jane Austen, uniformly bound in the very scarce publisher's original cloth.
The scarce Winchester Edition, complete in ten volumes.
Illustrated with a portrait frontispiece to volume I.
This wonderful set includes the most popular works of the beloved English novelist Jane Austen, an author praised for her deft social commentary, humour, and sense of irony.
Sense and Sensibility, in two volumes; Pride and Prejudice, in two volumes; Mansfield Park, in two volumes; Emma, in two volumes, Northanger Abbey, and Persuasion.
Handsomely bound in the publisher's original cloth, with gilt detailing to back strips.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth bindings. Externally lovely, with boards bright, and just a touch of fading to back strips. Light fading and bumps to rear board of Mansfield vol II. Small mark to rear board of Mansfield volume II. Front hinge of Mansfield volume I and Northanger strained but firmly held. Light spotting to text block fore edge. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages exceptionally clean and bright.
