'Nights at the Circus' is a postmodern novel on the life of Sophie Fevvers, a Cockney virgin who was hatched from an egg. A unique novel mixing various genres, the novel won the 1984 James Tait Black Memorial Prize.
Written by Angela Carter, a noted author of feminist, magical realism, and picaresque novels. She is best known for 'The Bloody Chamber'.
In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, fine. Dust wrapper is fine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
