About the Item
Bakelite Jewelry, Good - Better - Best, English book by Donna Wassertrom and Leslie Pina, 1997.
Bakelite jewelry was popular during the Depression because it was decorative, fun, and affordable. Today, it is sought after and worn for the same reasons, but its affordability is rapidly changing. This book showcases an extraordinary variety of wonderfully colorful, always appealing, and sometimes startling jewelry, along with a selection of other objects, all captured in 420 color photos. It shows how to rate quality: good, better, best, and answers the many questions about Bakelite, from dealers' secrets to historical facts. The photos, detailed information, and indispensable price guide will provide both beginner and connoisseur collectors with everything needed in the hunt for Bakelite.
This is a beautiful coffee table art book.
