Illustrated, Leather Binding, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding
Complete in twenty-five volumes. Author's edition. With a frontispiece and title vignette to each volume. Collated complete. The Waverley Novels, a collection created by the author to produce a final version of what is considered his Magnum Edition. With an introduction and notes of adjustments to the text. These novels are said to have played a significant part in the movement to modern historical novels and in rehabilitating public perception of the Scottish Highlands. Written by Sir Walter Scott, a Scottish historian, poet, playwright, and novelist whose works remain classics of European literature. This set includes: Waverley or 'Tis Sixty Years Since.
