Here we have two items relating to the late Sir Cecil Beaton, a multi talented man who was a celebrated photographer, author, diarist and set designer, to name but a few of his accomplishments. Firstly there is a Christie's sale catalogue which was produced in 1980 for the disposal of the contents of Reddish House in Wiltshire, held over two days with 725 lots which included works of art, furniture, silver, pictures, porcelain and garden effects. The catalogue has 142 illustrations including 14 in colour, the catalogue must have belonged to someone who attended the second day of the sale as there is a price noted in hand against all lots that day. The second book is a Bigraphy of Cecil Beaton by Hugo Vickers 656 pages which includes numerous black and white photographs.
