About the Item
A handsome set of ten vintage early 1970s French literary works, attractively bound in uniform decorative hardback editions with gilt-stamped spines and geometric covers. The collection includes five volumes by Marcel Aymé in red bindings (La Jument Verte, Le Vin de Paris, La Vouivre, Travellingue, Les Tiroirs de l’Inconnu) and five by Pierre Mac Orlan in gold bindings (À Bord de l’Étoile Matutine, Sous la Lumière Froide, Le Chant de l’Équipage, La Bandera, La Tradition de Minuit). Each volume measures approx. H23.5 cm x W18 cm x D3–4 cm. A fine literary set and a striking addition to any library or collection of French literature.
