FIRST, LIMITED. 8vo.; 9 1/2 x 6 in. (242 x 151 mm); 70 pp. Four wood-engravings by Blair Hughes-Stanton, printed on Batchelor paper in 14 pt. Golden Cockerel Type. 1/4 black morocco binding with special cream cloth boardprinted in red incorporating the press' and author's initials; gilt lettering on spine, t.e.g, rest uncut. This is copy no. 103 of 250 copies printed, signed by the author on the limitation page. All pages clean and bright and binding in near pristine condition.
Previous owner's mark embossed on flyleaf.

This elegant edition with woodcuts by Blair Hughes-Stanton is the ninth book in the Golden Cockerel series of first editions by contemporary authors. Hughes-Stanton (1902 – 1981) was a major figure in the English wood-engraving revival in the twentieth century and was a founding member of the English Wood Engraving Society in 1925.
